    Xbox games crash or won't restart


    I will play RDR2 or rocket league for a bit then switch to youtube tv. if I try to reenter either of those two games, the screen will go black and inevitably crash the system. I called support and they did not have a fix for this issue. Is this a bug
    with the youtube tv app and if so, will this be fixed soon? Having to force quit apps and games is frustrating and should not be a sustainable fix going forward.

    Hi, just a question. As it turned out, a soft reset after a power-cycle seemed to do the trick. My question is: If the services are unavailable, why was a power-cycle/soft-reset the only way to get them back if everything else seemed to be working? I
    was on XBL, my network runs at 150GB upload/download and was at minimal load at the time of occurrence?

    That just seems to be the standard answer, power-cycle/soft or hard reset but no one ever says WHY that is.

    Hey amadry,

    Thanks for your post. It's recommended to perform a soft factory reset on your console to troubleshoot this. Here are the steps:

    1. Enter Settings on the Xbox One
    2. Choose System
    3. Select Console Info
    4. Select Reset Console
    5. Select Reset console and keep my games & apps
    This type of factory reset will not remove any items, so no installations will be needed after the reset. Be sure to have your account information available so there are no issues signing back in once the console is reset.

    I have done this while on the phone with a representative. This does not work and its clearly an issue with the youtube tv app.

    Hello. I'm having the same issue with Forza Horizon 4 (via Game Pass) - if I switch to another app, like Youtube, or if I turned off the console w/out quitting the game, when I go back in I get an error message about local saves being an issue and needing
    to clear the local cache. When I do that and reboot, I got an E105 error the first two times, then last night and E102 error- both state that I need to reset the console. Which I've done, now three times. My guess is Forza Horizon 4 does not like to be
    switched from that to something else as this is the third time it has happened.

    I don't have a clue how to fix something like that, just wanted to add my experience in case someone else has had it too and either knows how to fix it, or just needed to see they weren't alone in this.
