Xbox Games app install location (Insider preview) still not working properly.

I appreciate your effort. I just want to confirm from which country or region are you currently located? Are you part of the Xbox Insider?

That was it! I forgot I joined the Windows Gaming preview on Xbox Insider a while back.

1. Uninstalled the Xbox app and all related xbox apps
   
2. Left the Windows Gaming preview on Xbox Insider
   
3. Reboot
   
4. Re-installed Xbox app and now the app is working as intended.
   

You just saved me from having to reinstall Windows this weekend, because I was all out of ideas.

The purpose of taking the folder ownership is that you have full control of the files inside not to move the games out of the windowsapp folder as i mentioned the apps(the games are apps) need to be inside that folder to work, unless that when you select install on the Xbox app you see in the window to choose the installation location that you can install on a different folder location, but often games will have this legend

Microsoft is testing a new way to install games that might solve this problem. You need the Xbox Insider Hub app, participate in the Windows Gaming preview, after entering the preview, please reinstall the Xbox app.

Go back to the Xbox Insider Hub app and go to activities, select ''Advanced Installation Features Quest'', follow the steps.

I noticed that this function only works with games that need admin permission and from my own experience, don't try to move games you have already installed to this system. Reinstall them if you like.

The above issue occurred on a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro.

I was able to "fix" the issue by unenrolling from Xbox Insider Hub's Windows Gaming. I then uninstalled the Xbox app. I restarted my machine. I then re-enrolled back in the Windows Gaming Preview. I reinstalled the Xbox App. I still had the same error, so I unchecked the option to "Ask me for install options on every install." Game Pass Games now install as normal rather than the advanced options under C:\Xbox Games.

Identifying the issue was seeing the option "This game supports advanced management features." on the 7 games that were already installed.

In conclusion,

I believe this is some sort of Xbox Insider Hub Preview issue with the Xbox App because the 7 games were installed without the option of C:\Xbox Games that I had prior to reloading Windows 11.

Before this the Xbox should not load because you was on a none supported region and currently for it to work needs to be trough the insider preview, so if it's not loading it's related to the insider situation

The region that both (windows and account) should match it's the one you are physically in, your real location

I have tried the case :"Please uninstall the XBOX App, unregister from Insider, restarts PC, re-register to Insider and the Preview for Southeast asia, Redownload the XBOx App. And try again."

But it's nor work

Need to use VPN to load the xbox app
