    Xbox Gamertag - Undo


    My old Xbox Gamertag used to be "Gerbil" Sadly, it was taken and was forced to use something else.

    So, I created this gamertag "" and been using it for years.

    I found out today that 'gerbil' is avilable on <https://social.xbox.com/changegamertag>

    It gave me this gamertag - Gerbil#5470

    Sadly, I am extremely disappointed. I would prefer to continue using "" but I have to pay $9.99 to change it back. Is it possible to have it back again.

    Technically you do have the title, they changed the system so instead of not being able to use your preferred tag, you have a number after to distinguish a seperate user. Being as it is with Discord, so many users now with multiple accounts possible it's
    never easy to get your perfect tag. I would say if that's what you wanted I would stick ! If you would rather not have the numbers then I'd be super quick and contact support and ask for a possible refund or change back if previous tag is still available.

    Thanks for coming to the forums. As the ambassador posted you will need to pay the fee of the gamer tag change. Reason you were given the suffix is Gerbil is being used by someone. You can view the

    gamer tag page     for more information. As there is no other information on this issue, I will be locking this thread as to prevent repetitive answers.

    Disconnecting xbox live from my profile

    Now that it's been connected to the server, you can't undo anything. You can just remain disconnected in order to not use the service, but since someone else on Live already has your gamertag, you would not be able to change the gamertag back to that.
