Xbox Gamertag Technical issue

This is kind of a weird issue that I’m not sure if anyone here can help with, but im running out of options.

My gamertag is “Touch” (with no suffix). For some reason on the console and on the Xbox app it now shows a suffix, even though it shouldn’t have one. It doesn’t show it on the Xbox website or in any games. I would just like the suffix removed/fixed on the
app and on the console since it shows a suffix to all my friends now. I’ve contacted support and they said it was a glitch but should be fixed by now, but it’s still not. Does anyone have any ideas? Support has offered me a free gamertag change too, but i
like my gamertag. I just dont like that theres suddenly a suffix when there shouldnt be. Thanks!

This is definitely an odd one sorry it's happening to you, I suggest you contact support again about this glitch but not all will be fixed right away as tons of bugs/glitches are reported and all need to be fully investigated so I say this situation is
all about patience.

I'm sorry to hear that the Xbox was acting that way that lead to you having to replace the network card, however discussing self repair or asking how to self repair a modded console is not allowed on the Xbox forums as per the

Xbox Forums Rules and Guidelines. Your only option is to get a new console since it would not be possible to send in the console to Microsoft Device support. Due to the reasons stated, we will be locking this thread. If you get a new Xbox and you end up

In accordance with
Code Standards § vii:

Connect modified or tampered hardware to Xbox Live

Use unauthorized hardware or accessories

This could be a violation and no doubt also voids your Xbox and/or controller warranty.

Did you try updating the controller firmware while it was plugged in via micro USB to the console? Are you on an Insider system update?
