XBox GamerTag conflict issues

I've got an issue with my XBox gamer tag(s...) which I can't manage to fix. I'm pretty sure that a human support staffer could get me straightened around in a few minutes, but there seems to be no way to actually connect to one ("no phone or chat available for this issue"). Maybe someone out there can help me out.

Back in the day, I bought an XBox and created an account/gamer tag. It was tied to my Swiss e-mail address at the time. Let's call that TagGood.

Some years later, back in the US with a new e-mail address (and no longer having access to the Swiss e-mail address), I attempted to change the e-mail address on TagGood to the US e-mail address. Without access, I couldn't. I ended up creating a new tag, let's call that TagBad and tied that to my new US e-mail address, hoping I could then change the name.

Because I can't personally delete TagGood, that tag name is taken, though I can no longer sign on, change a password or delete it. Because TagGood is sitting on the name, I can't rename TagBad to TagGood.

All the while I've had a Mojang (Minecraft) gamer tag of TagGood. It's time to migrate that to a Microsoft account but - due to the e-mail match - insists on tying Mojang TagGood with Microsoft TagBad.

My question: How can I change my Microsoft XBox TagBad into TagGood... when I have no access to the TagGood account?

I'd like to delete TagBad and assign my current e-mail address to TagGood. There's really no way to pull that off?

Short answer is you can't. You'll have to wait for the gamertag to recycle and become available again. Gamertags are recycled every 10 years once the user stop being active or after the tag is changed.

Unless you are using static IP addresses and have assigned open ports to one of your Xbox's enabling UPnP should prevent problems. If you have opened ports for one IP address they cannot be open for your second Xbox too.

In this house we have three Xbox 360's and two Xbox Ones without any issues. All have DCHP issued IP addresses, no assigned ports and UPnP enabled with zero issues
