    My Xbox gamertag Pooter DaTooter was banned by xbox live admin. Im guessing it was deemed offensive or inappropriate. How do I go about over ruling this decision because obviously its a silly gamertag but not offensive or uses any profanity. I have never
    caused any problems and play only recreationally. Ive had this gamertag back when I bought an xbox to play the new halo combat evolved. Its been awhile.

    The gamertag DaintyWhelp was given to me from the xbox team. It used to be
    [Mod Removed]which is just a name. I don't understand what is so bad about it. I have been off of xbox live for a little bit because of how busy my personal life has been, but I'm getting ready to upgrade my game console. But before I do so,
    I would like my old gamertag back. I have seen some pretty vulgar gamertags online and I guess I am confused as to why mine was so offensive, compared to others. It makes no sense. Please help.

    Even customer support is confused: "I completely understand that this is a bit frustrating since you've had this gamertag for a long time now and I totally agree that the old gamertag is not offensive at all."

    At least be more original when you update the console.... Hunt does NOT count

    My kid changed my gamertag and I can’t change it back due to the character count being too long

    And how do I go about “paying” to change it? And how much is the cost... theres no way an admin can override this and change it back to my original gamertag?

    I think its fair. The fee should cover the admin cost in changing your gamertag and serves as a barrier to stop people changing every few days or weeks.
