Xbox gamer tag hasn’t changed

2 days ago I had paid for my xbox gamertag to be changed and it still hasn’t changed. The transaction has gone through but I can’t find any sign of the gt being changed anywhere. I have tried a hard restart and it hasn’t worked

if you have a generic gamertag there is no doubt a dupe version and that is why. If not, it's most likely just failed and Microsoft will refund you

First, make sure that the transaction is successful by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders. Once confirmed, go to https://account.xbox.com/profile to check if there are any changes. If there is none, try changing it again but this time, you shouldn't be charged again.

If the Gamertag change fee hasn't been used yet, you won't be charged again.
