    Hello,

    Scenario

    I currently have an XBOX One and GamePass ultimate at location #1, I want my nephew to be able to use this XBOX and play his video games, it's under my username, he gained some friends that he plays with under my xbox name.

    I am planning to purchase a new XBOX (whatever the latest is) and use the same account in location #2 (different state). I want to be able to play games with this account as well.

    Questions

    • Can I register the same account on both XBOX systems?
    • What can of limitations should I expect? I assume if my nephew is playing, I may not be able to play at the same time?
    • Is there a better way to handle this situation? Maybe XBOX/Microsoft supports sub accounts or something?

    In Gamepass and Gamepass Ultimate is XBOX Live Gold included. If you want Gamepass or Gamepass Ultimate, you must buy this subscription too.

    Hello WhyChiken,

    Since you have Gamepass ultimate, that means you already have access to Xbox live gold, Gamepass for console and Gamepass for PC. To utilize the PC subscription, you just need to be signed into the same Microsoft account that owns the ultimate subscription.
    Use the Xbox Beta app to get started.

    If you bought the Gamepass for PC and don't have an Xbox then getting Ultimate Gamepass is pointless. It would upgrade your subscription from Gamepass for PC to Ultimate Gamepass

    No. If you already had xbox live gold then when you add an xbox gamepass ultimate subscription (which includes Xbox live gold) it upgrades your existing Xbox live gold subscription to gamepass ultimate (hence why your gold subscription "disappeared")

    So lets say for example before you added the gamepass ultimate subscription you had 6 months of xbox live gold left. When you added the 6 month gamepass code youd essentially now have 12 months of gamepass ultimate in this above example.

    Hello NikMcNik,

    GamePass Ultimate is the bundle itself of Gamepass and Live Gold, but it won't list that you have gold in your Xbox, if that is your question.

    So it makes sense that your Live Gold is deactivated, cause you right now have enabled Gamepass Ultimate.

    So :

    Gamepass Ultimate ( Is like a bundle of Gamepass and Live Gold)

    Xbox Live Gold

    Gamepass

    Will be shown as different subscriptions, cause these are technically different subscriptions, albeit Ultimate giving you both advantadges.
