    Xbox Gamepass for PC - Installation destination


    I have purchased Gamepass for PC for both of my sons for Christmas. Trying to install games to play and we've run into an issue. I have a 1TB HD installed in both of their machines for game installations. I have the drive mounted as a folder under the C:
    drive (as C:\games). However, when trying to install a game, it is only showing the free space on the C: drive and not including the free space available under C:\games. Therefore, they don't have enough space to install games because the app is thinking there
    is not enough free space on their computer.

    Is there a way around this without me having to unmount c:\games and remounting it as a separate drive letter?

    Error Code - 0x87e00023 or windows cannot access the specified device path or file you may not have appropriate permissions to access them

    Yes its only gamepass games on the XBOX app, I can run games on STEAM and BattleNet.

    I have a new partition and the destination its installed to doesn't make a difference so far.

    Doom Eternal will not install

    Try this workaround

    Open the Xbox app on phone or PC and sign in

    Search for the game that cannot be installed

    Press Download to console and select the destination console

    Once the game has installed on that console, insert the disc and try to launch it

    Same problem for me. First of all I though the it is because I install on an external disk (SSD) but as I read, and as it is allowed by xBox PC app, we can install on any destination (including external disk).

    Hope that MS will solve the problem asap.

    i dont have ea play

    you only need gamepass pc to have gamepass and EA access, your xbox account needs to be linked with EA and you need the EA app installed too.
