    Xbox Gamepass app on Windows 11 not launching games.


    I tried to install the Outer Worlds DLC on gamepass and it downloaded about 10KB and then stopped. If I try to cancel the installation it just say "installing..." endlessly. Now I can't install or uninstall any games with gamepass, nor will any launch. I've tried all the troubleshooting suggested on the xbox website (Rebooting PC, Updating Windows, Repairing/Reseting Xbox and Gaming Services, Reinstalling gaming services.) Nothing has worked.

    Sorry to hear about the issue. Let's see what we can do about this matter.

    Let's reset the Microsoft Store cache: Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK.

    Please also try to disable temporarily your anti-virus software.

    If you use only Windows Defender, try to disable the Firewall temporary as well.

    Restart and try downloading your game again.

    If it doesn't work, try to perform a clean boot. Possible that some 3rd party services are blocking the service.

    Don't forget to also reset your router by turning it off, unplug from power outlet and wait for at least 5 minutes before turning it back on.

    Thank you. It happens with any gamepass game. I am indeed uning the Xbox App to download/install/launch your Game Pass Games. I am using Windows 11.

    On a side note. I have no issues with purchased games through Steam as games do run perfectly.

    I tried to check the terado right after the clean boot, and then tried to launch a gamepass game, both unsuccessful

    I'm considering updating to windows 11

    Are they ever going to have a game pass section on the PC app?

    no point as in windows 11 the store directs you to the xbox app for games now, you have to use the xbox app to initiate game downloads (even bought games) and use gamepass games too.

    all that and yet it is still the windows store that downloads the stuff in the background.

    Gamepass games can only be gotten with the gamepass app and the xbox store not steam

    You can run Windows 10 or 11 thru boot camp or parrallels

    You would need windows ro access xbox atone or xcloud rk access xcloud ganes
