    Xbox Gamebar Audio recording


    Hi everyone, just want to apologize for wasting everyone's time. My question is this: My friends and i are gonna do a minecraft series in the next month. I'm using the xbox gamebar, and i will be screen recording off of that. I know
    that it records game audio, but does it record the audio of the people in the chat? If it doesn't, thats a real big dissapointment from microsoft. And also if it doesn't, can someone reccomend an alternative way to do this? I really want to make this series
    good and exciting. If it does record game audio and chat audio, Please tell me how to do that. THX! BTW im on windows 10 edition.

    Xbox gaming overlay: Recording isn't working, Error 2184327190

    The recording feature probably has to grab the recording information from the hardware framebuffers of a real graphics card hardware.

    The Gamebar probably doesn't work at all in a virtual environment.

    Remove Cursor when recording with gamebar?

    The App doesn't have a feature like that, but your PC would be responsible for that kind of UI control but I haven't seen one specifically to remove or hide a cursor while recording. Your welcome to "report a problem" to submit a feature request but no
    guarantees but feedback is always welcome.

    1. Knowing that the issue is all about audio, may we ask for what headset or microphone you are using?
    2. Do you have other/spare headset or microphone? Is it giving you same issue?
    3. Is your headset or microphone connected to Xbox Console or PC directly?
    4. Are you on Windows 10 or 11?
    5. When did this issue happen? Was there a recent Windows update or new application installed on your device? Or was this working before?

    Thank you for reaching out to us about your issue!

    Can you verify whether or not your microphone sounds like that in any other applications?

    I have a few solutions that may work for you:

    1. Verify that your device is up to date

    • Open your Settings
    • Go to Windows Update
    • Select Check for updates
    This will assure that you're not missing any updates or drivers that could be causing this issue.

    2. Changing the default audio device in the Xbox Game Bar

    • Open the Xbox Game Bar
    • In the Audio widget, select the Voice tab
    Verify that your default communications output and default communications input are both set to the devices that you would like to use.

    3. Change the default input device for computer

    • Open your Settings
    • Go to System
    • Open Sound
    In the Input section, verify that you have the correct microphone selected in the "Choose your input device" drop-down menu

    4. Change your microphone settings

    • Open your Settings
    • Go to System
    • Open Sound
    • Select Device properties in the Input section
    • In the Device properties menu, select Additional device properties under Related Settings on the right
    • In the new window, select the Enhancements tab if there is one and select Disable all enhancements
    • If there is no Enhancements tab, open the Advanced tab to see if the setting is there. If it is, uncheck the Enable audio enhancements box if it's checked.
    Once enhancements are disabled, try recording again to verify whether or not the microphone is working properly.

    You can also try lowering or raising the Default Format of the microphone in the Advanced tab if the other steps did not work. Try multiple settings while also running test recordings to verify if the mic is running properly or not.
