    Xbox Game streaming To laptop blank screen problem


    Console Streaming hasn’t been working for me, I try to stream my console to my laptop and it leaves my laptop on a blank with the Xbox companion app in the background instead of the game, I am still getting audio but no visual, is there anything I can do? (Sorry I’m new to Reddit I don’t know how to add a photo) I am in the Xbox beta preview on my Xbox and on my laptop in the Xbox insider hub public Preview, any help?

    I couldn't watch my brothers stream lastnight because it was a black screen so I tried watching it on my laptop and had the same problem, streams that aren't been streamed directly from the xbox work fine so its definitely a issue on the xbox streaming side.

    If you're talking about streaming to the xbox app over network, see here:

    If you're talking about using the HDMI out port on your laptop as an HDMI in port to play the xbox one X on your laptop screen, that is impossible as all HDMI ports on laptops are output only.

    In order to use your xbox one X on your laptop you will need a capture device with HDMI in and a USB 3.0 connection to your laptop in order to get the video and audio on your laptop screen. The first one that comes to mind is the

    ElGato HD60.

    all other games connect to xbox fine. it's just this game giving me problems. the other games giving me issues are blank screen issues not network issues. and I'll assume the blank screen is unrelated to this one.

    As previously stated most laptops commonly have HDMI outputs on them in order to display the contents of the laptop on a TV or other displays. The only way to get your Xbox One to show up on a screen would be if you have the option to switch the input to
    HDMI which is rare in laptop or desktop monitors. That being said you may contact the manufacturer of your laptop to see if they have additional options or review the Xbox Display compatibility here:
