Xbox game streaming no longer working (android app)

I play game streaming most nights, but the past week my console started to not show up in the app. Now my console is showing up, but when I try to launch streaming it crashes almost immediately. If I try to leave feedback, that crashes and takes me to the previous screen in the app.

I've followed all the lazy guides. Reinstalled everything, rebooted everything. Tried wired and wireless connections. I've tried different routers with completely open NATs. Ultimately the problem is not my network or setup.

This is the only reason I have been using Xbox vs other services, and it's extremely frustrating. Nothing about my home network has changed, It's obviously something with Microsoft. Maybe all those job cuts are showing the cracks. The fact that I can't get customer support and I have to post to a forum to hope someone responds is not what you expect from a trillion dollar company.

Hi there!

I am sorry to know about the issue. I know how frustrating that must be. I would feel the same way if I were on your situation. Let's see what we can do about this matter here.

I just want to make sure if you have the same settings on your console as shown below:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
Go to Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Remote features.
Select the Enable remote features checkbox.
Under Power options, select Sleep.
Note: If your console power mode isn't set to Sleep, remote play won't work.

If so, try to power cycle your console to refresh it as well. Press and hold Xbox's power button for 10 sec until it turns off. Unplug the power supply for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

Once done, let's reconnect your remote play:
Open the Xbox mobile app.
Select the My Library icon and select Consoles.
*** Swipe down your screen twice or thrice to refresh the list.
Select the console you want to connect to and then press Remote play on this device.

Let me know if that works.

On the other hand, to further isolate the issue, try to use a different profile on your Xbox console and the Xbox app on mobile if the issue persist on a different account or not.

Maybe I was misunderstood.

I mean, I want to launch game on Xbox in my local network and cast it to TV Box. Like it work with Steam Link, and Remote play on Sony.

Also, there are 2 apps for android:

Xbox Game Streaming (Preview) (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xcloud)

Xbox beta (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xboxone.smartglass.beta)

They allow to stream game from console to android tablet or phone, but they are not compatible with Android TV, that is little confusing. Maybe there is any way to make it work?

Btw, Wifi - 5Ghz, signal quality is ok

I also tested steam link on my android box - it works fine. So, I think this box has enough computing power to accept video stream and show it on TV

try bluestacks and install the xbox app from the playstore and you can stream again, also works on my android phone so i use android on my win10 pc. not perfect, but it works.

hi there, sorry to hear that.

this wouldn`t help you directly but all i can say, here, xbox one x (skipe ahed) with galaxy s10+ everything works fine, on console streaming and cloud streaming.

I had the same problem. Deleting all the data related to the App solved the issue for me, afterwards you will need to Login again but the controller should work again in the app.

In most Android devices it should be Settings -> Apps --> Streaming (this is the App) --> Storage --> Clear Data
