    xbox game shareing

I am having an issue with sharing games ( COD Black Ops ) on my family Xbox live account.

Prior to getting the Xbox Series S, I was able to play a game on my Xbox One S with my son playing the same game on his account on the original Xbox One with my primary account also on his Xbox. Now that my son had a Series S console we are not able to play
the same game together ( COD Black Ops ) in multiplayer. Does this game share with Xbox Live Gold not work with the newer gen Xbox?

    :)
