    Xbox Game Share Working, but Xbox Live Share is not


    Hello, My friend that I am game sharing with recently accidentally switched his Xbox to his home Xbox, though it should have been mine. My first response was for me to go back and change his profiles home Xbox back to mine, and when I did that all of our games came back, but I do not get the Xbox live subscription that is on the other account like I had before. I have already tried to power cycle both Xboxes and removing his account from my Xbox but am plum out of ideas. Anything would help.

    When sharing Xbox Live and games, the account that purchased Xbox Live can share the service. You have to set your home console with the account used to purchase Xbox Live, then you can share Xbox Live and games when you sign in with that account on other

    Since you mentioned your friend's games are now available to you, that means the home Xbox sharing was successful which brings us down to one thing...

    You are going to have to check if your friend's xbox live subscription is still active.

    Press the Xbox button  on your controller to open the guide, and then go to Profile & System> Settings > Account > Subscriptions.

    Also, make sure to check the Xbox Live status to see if there are any ongoing issues with the service that could prevent you from using your friend's subscription.

    Game sharing outside your physical household is a violation of TOS and can lead to account and console bans.
