Xbox game share and parental controls

Hi All,

I've had my Xbox for couple of years now and never did game share. I created a profile for my daughter and set up the parental controls so she cannot play games she should not and gave her permission for the games she can play under her profile. Now I've got
her a xbox too and need to set it up so that she can still play the games on my console (all digital) when she signs in from her location.

how do we set this up on the consols?

will she still be able to play only the PG games and games I gave her permission on?

I am the one paying gold live account and want to keep it at just me paying. Can we still play at the same time together online? (like minecraft)?

Set her console as YOUR home console. This gives her access to your games with ANY profile that plays on that console.

When you play on your console, you simply sign in and have access to your games.

The permissions should still be followed. You may want to test it before you give her free reign.

Yes, the games and live will remain linked to ONLY your account, but with her console as your home console, you can both play online simultaneously.

If you want to do this, you should set your daughter's console as your account's Home Xbox (Settings -> Personalization -> My Home Xbox). This will enable her to sign in and play any games your account owns, even if you yourself are not signed in. This does
carry a risk, as your Xbox in your location must be connected to the Internet and Xbox Live at all times for you to be able to play games you own. Further, you'll need to set all this up before she takes her console home (you'll need to sign in and set it
up, you'll need to install all the software, etc.). Lastly, if problems occur on her end, you'll have to be the one that solves them as nobody at her location would have a legal right to access your account (per the Xbox Live Code of Conduct).

Yes, parental controls will still be in force on her account.

Yes, your memberships will still be in force on both consoles (the Home Xbox, and when you sign into your own console).

Hey Renoom. To add onto what Vibroplex said, if everyone wants there own account, or wants to play simultaneously, everyone would need there own Xbox LIVE account, or you could just have one family account, that everyone shares.

Parental control would cover both accounts regardless of what console they are using. Those are just settings related to the accounts themselves. However, in order to share games you'd have to set a console as the Home console for the parent account and
the other accounts can share the games there. You can only set one console as your Home at a time, so in order to share on both consoles, you'd either have to buy the games twice or buy the games from one of the child accounts.
