Have you been hearing rumblings about the new Xbox Game Preview program on Xbox One consoles and want to know what it’s about? Do you want to be able to play and offer feedback on upcoming Xbox One games that are still under active development, but aren’t sure
how to get started? We’ve assembled the answers to the most frequently asked questions about the program in one handy guide to get you all of the info you need.



Q: What is the Xbox Game Preview Program?

A: The Xbox Game Preview program allows Xbox One gamers to download, evaluate and provide feedback on upcoming Xbox One games that are still under active development.



Q: How do I find Xbox Game Preview games?

A: You can find them on your Xbox One console by going to Store>Browse all games then navigating down to the dedicated “Game preview” sections to check out available titles.

Alternatively, you can head to Xbox One Games | Xbox and search “Game Preview” to pull up a list of games in the Game Preview program online. Titles in the program will have “(Game Preview)” in their title.

Q: Do I have to be in the Xbox One Preview Program for console updates to buy and play Xbox Game Preview titles?

A: No. Xbox Game Preview is an entirely separate program from the Xbox One Preview Program for console updates. Xbox Game Preview games are available to be purchased by anybody with an Xbox Live account.

Q: If I buy an Xbox Game Preview title, will I also get the final release of the game for free?

A: Yes! If you purchase a game while it is in Game Preview you will also own the full final release of the game digitally if and when it releases to everybody. No additional purchases are needed.

Q: If I buy an Xbox Game Preview game and I decide I don’t like it, can I get a refund?

A: No. Please purchase a Game Preview title only if you are comfortable with the current state of the game. Game Preview games are works in progress that may or may not change over time and may not release as a final product. No refunds will be offered for
these titles.

Q: Where can I find more info about a game before I decide to purchase it?

A: If you’re curious about a title, you can always check out the Game Hub for the title on the console or the game page on
Xbox One Games | Xbox . There you can find game descriptions, screenshots, videos, developer info and more. Most titles also offer a Free Trial of the game so you can try before you buy.

Q: Is there a time limit on how long I can play an Xbox Game Preview title?

A: If you purchase the game, there is no time limit, you own it and can play to your heart’s content! If you’re just testing the title out via the Free Trial before deciding if you want to purchase it, the Free Trial allows gameplay for a limited time before
requiring purchase. The Free Trial gameplay time can vary by title.

Q: How long is a game in Xbox Game Preview until it releases?

A: This varies by title and is up to the developers. Xbox Game Preview titles are not guaranteed to get a full release, so only purchase if you’re okay with the current state of the game.

Q: So, I’ve spent some time with the game and I’d like to offer my feedback to the developers while they work on the game, how do I do that?

A: The Game Hub for the title on Xbox One consoles and the game page on
http://store.xbox.com will have more info on how to contact the developers online, as well as links to the developer’s site and/or social media. Some games may also include feedback features in the title itself. You are not required to offer feedback, but
it’s a great way to get your voice heard by the developers while they are actively working on the game!
