Xbox game playing status

Discus and support Xbox game playing status in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I was playing Doki Doki Literature Club (great game by the way) and it said I was using, of all things, Netflix... somehow, even though it is first off...     I was playing Doki Doki Literature Club (great game by the way) and it said I was using, of all things, Netflix... somehow, even though it is first off a steam game and second the executable file is called ddlc.exe, not Netflix. Fix the thing that says what I am playing/using, Microsoft.

    It is possible the game you are trying to play is one of those affected. I have been in GTAV Online and that appears to be working for the most part. But games like CoD or Battlefield may be affected if those are the kinds of games you are trying to play.

    Your sons would just need to add each other as friends, then - as long as the game they want to play supports online multiplayer or co-op - they can invite each other and play together.

    If the game isn't free to play, they would need to have Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions in order to play online.

    BTW, the friends system on Xbox is currently broken and MS are working on fixing it, so they may not be able to do this right now. You can check the service status page here to see if the issue is still ongoing: -

    A Xbox One game will run on all Xbox One family consoles. Be it the original Xbox One, the Xbox One S or Xbox One X. The only difference is, that the Xbox One X might show more graphical details than the other two consoles.

    In regards to playing Fortnite: Some countries show a Xbox Live Service alert for Fortnite. While the US Status page shows everything is working, the

    German status page currently shows a Fortnite Service alert    .

    So check the status page of your country, and maybe wait a few hours. Maybe the Fortnite issue will then be resolved. In the mean time, try to play a different game.
