    Xbox Game Pass Ultimate sharing with Kids Accounts (Cloud Gaming)


    Hi All,

    New Xbox Series S. No problem in setup and carrying over the accounts from the previous setup we were using on the Xbox One.

    My account has the Xbox Gamepass Ultimate Subscription. The new Xbox is my Home Xbox (as well as all 3 of my kids Home Xbox). It seems as if they can access Game Pass from their accounts to install games, but are unable to use Cloud gaming service. Cloud gaming appears to work only on my account.

    Is this by design? Is it a known issue? Is there a setting I'm missing?

    Why Cloud gaming wont let me play allowed games?

    Cloud gaming can only be played with an account that PURCHASED Game Pass Ultimate. If you are sharing GPU through the Home console feature, then you will not be able to play in the cloud. That is only for the accounts that actually paid for Game Pass Ultimate.

    Are you asking if you can share Cloud Gaming on another account? If so, then no, it's not possible. Only the account holder that has Games Pass Ultimate can play games on the Cloud.

    This is by design. Only the account that purchases the subscription will have access to cloud gaming.

    As mentioned

    Subaccounts can't roam

    Only the primary can

    And no signing into the console doesn't change things since its not your xbox you are signing into but servers

    Your only option is to wait till friends and family comes out of Beta and is more wide spread

    They will just have to install to games to play suggestion buy the 2tb storage card will make your life easier

    We can share our Game Pass Ultimate on Xbox by setting our account as Home Xbox, however, as of the moment, cloud gaming feature isn't shareable. Only the account that has the Game Pass Ultimate will be able to play cloud gaming.
