Xbox game pass ultimate save games and cross platform play across pc and xbox one?

Hi, I have just signed up to the new game pass ultimate. Is cross platform play available for these games? Can I play on PC with friends who have the same game on Xbox One.

Also, if I have the same game through game pass on both xbox one and PC, do the saved games transfer from one to the other. If not, this should really be a feature

As long as the title is play anywhere or allows for cross platform in this case (PC / xbox) then yes, you can do that.

Well it is cross save compatible just not in the way you mentioned

Play anywhere title only apply to Xbox platform not steam

Also cross saves usually only apply to same platforms with the rare exceptiOns of certain titles

Steam saves are steam saves and Xbox one's are encrypted

However.achievements do carry over

Steam will have support for cross-play, but cross-save with Xbox is not supported.

Metro Exodus wasn't released on Windows 10 as a Play Anywhere title and does not utilize the cross-platform cloud saves features so there is no way to transfer progress from the Xbox One to the PC, even though you could play both via Game Pass Ultimate.
But without Game Pass, if you wanted to play on Console and PC you'd have to purchase the title on each platform separately.

Sorry, but there is no way to transfer your saves from the console to the PC or vice versa.

So long as the game you are playing is labeled as a Play Anywhere title then you can play on Xbox or PC using the same save. In most cases these games are cross play as well.

That's the thing, I was playing Wargroove and that portal bridge construction game, and they both cross saved, they are not in the play anywhere list.
