on your account, you would not be able to pay it with Microsoft Account Funds. You would need to do so with a credit/debit card of some sort.

I would definitely try to resolve the issue by following the steps outlined in

How to pay a past due balance on an Xbox subscription, or by contacting
customer support and having an agent look into this directly.

If you are set on cancelling your subscription the steps to do so can be found traditionally on How to cancel your Xbox subscription

Unfortunately you would have to purchase gold again if that is what you want. Before purchasing the promotion, you are warned that whatever gold or regular game pass you have on your account will be converted to Ultimate Game Pass and cannot be converted
back.
