Thank you for providing a bit more detail. I have seen similar and I was able to get around this by doing a couple things that maybe can help.

First try checking your windows pc account settings to ensure your Microsoft account which you purchased the gamepass on is signed in and being used as your windows profile and that you are not doing so via a local user profile. Sometimes you need to verify
your account which stops some services from fully working.

Next I would sign into your microsoft account online and go to your subscriptions section to verify you see the gamepass sub listed on your account that is tied to your gamertag. With promotional subscriptions such as the one you did they do not always auto
renew should you have gone past the initial month and you had that option disabled on your account, so you may need to enable that feature.

If those both are good a great way I've found to get perks is to install the mobile gamepass application and sign into my Xbox profile on it. Then click on the little profile icon bottom of the app and all the perks are listed there to redeem. Many when
you click will display the key to use on xbox or the pc to redeem.

Hopefully one of these works but let me know and I'll be happy to continue trying to assist you to sort it out best I can. Also have you contacted Microsoft billing support to have them check your account in case there is some sort of billing issue occurring
on it holding up the use of the subscription?

I've already read that FAQ. However, my problem isn't listed there. I'll try to explain myself better: I have bought the xbox game pass ultimate for 1 euro. Now I want to redeem my rewards. However, I cannot do so. This is because, when I open the xbox
windows 10 app, instead of a "redeem" button, I have a "join ultimate" or something similar (as if I haven't bought the pass).
