    i have bought xbox game pass ultimate and it hasnt included xbox live in it. i bought 3 months of it so i can play multiplayer games with xbox live and it has only given me the game pass???

    Have you tried playing online multiplayer in a game yet? Game Pass Ultimate includes Game Pass Core (Gold), Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, EA Play & Cloud Gaming.

    I have game pass and none of the local multiplayer games that require more than one controller seem to work on cloud gaming.

    If you mean playing PC games with Xbox capabilities (e.g. achievements, Multiplayer), then you do not need a Game Pass Core subscription to play on PC, as it's only for Xbox consoles.

    If however you mean playing Xbox games on the cloud, then as Rodrigo stated, you will need Game Pass Ultimate to play on the cloud.

    Game Pass is like Netflix for games. You can play any game in the library without purchasing the games individually. There is a Game Pass for console and a Game Pass for PC.

    Game Pass Ultimate includes both Game Pass for console and Game Pass for PC as well as a Gold subscription so you can play online multiplayer. Ultimate also gives you access to Cloud gaming and EA Play.

    Xbox Cloud gaming allows you to sign into a laptop, mobile device, and the console, and play games without having to download them.

    Cloud gaming is available only with game pass ultimate

    If you decide to buy the game for your console or PC but don't want to renew your ultimate subscription
    You can only play the game locally (downloaded).

    But, if your question is more related to purchase the game and have game pass ultimate.

    The content will be available for you in both ways
