    XBox Game Pass software not recognizing drives


    Hello,

    I've been trying to install The Outer Worlds on my Win 10 PC via XBox Game Pass. When I get to the install screen, the drive selection says "Unknown Available" and clicking 'change' brings up a Select A Drive screen with no choices. From another thread's
    suggestion (https://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/game-setup/troubleshoot-games-windows-10) I've tried to reinstall gaming services
    with PowerShell. However, nothing has changed in XBox Game Pass. Can someone give me some advice to help solve my problem?

    Sorry to hear it. Have you tried launching the Store App and installing the game from there?
    Using the Store App worked! I'm happily playing it right now. Thanks!

    Gamepass uninstalls Gears of War 4 when I install it to external drive

    Game Pass games use protected folders, and if format Windows, it no longer recognizes any game even if it is on another external hard drive or hard drive. If you install it on a Windows or PC you don't recognize any of the games.

    The only way I could think to check this was to plug the S harddrive into it. The xbox recognized this connection. So the Xbox software doesn't recognize the old hard drive (but the USB cable powers it regardless).

    the original 360 hardrive is from a US 360. I'm trying to move data onto a Japanese 360S. Would the software reject the regions? If so, this will be very challenging to move my saved games (and I was unfortunately in progress in ME3 when 3RL struck again).

    Series X says disc is dirty/damaged and won’t download but my Xbox one can still read it

    I found a solution... put the disc in DO NOT INSTALL FROM DISC... with disc in go to Xbox store and install from there while it recognizes you have the physical disc in the drive... it's the only thing that bypassed their software bug
