xbox game pass save files

looking through several of the folders I don't see many files that would indicate saves, more config files and the such.
Could it be that with the game pass it saves files to a cloud, linked to my profile or something?

I know Steam saves to the cloud so i shouldnt need to port anything over, does the game pass do similar?

I figured out the issue but don’t know how to fix it with Xbox game pass.

You have to roll back your save to a previous save and your game will work. I even started a new character to test it out and no issue, game started right up.

But I don’t want to lose my 60 hour character, and on Xbox game pass it doesn’t save the game the same way steam does.

Anyone know how to roll back your save with a game pass save file?

Go to steam, click on properties under the game to locate the save file.

Then move the file to the destination under the game pass.

I should be saving it is the same cloud they use, check your save because if you came to create a new save and the xbox takes that one and updates it will erase your progress for the new one

I have played Forza Horizon 4 on PC and Xbox and my save data is the same.

When you started the PC version did it ask you to download your Cloud Save?
