Xbox Game Pass - Rage 2 wont start

Hello!

I've been trying to get Rage 2 running through the Xbox app, got it on Game pass. (PC)

Simply put, starting the game through the app's launcher will show it as running in task manager, but it won't actually start the program at all.

Hoping to fix the problem myself hasn't yielded results, as finding the folder where it's installed and launched from is impossible.

Tried to launch the app through the start menu with administrator privileges.

Waited for 15 minutes for the app to respond with no results.

If anyone's got any suggestions on how to deal with this, please let me know.

Both the XBOX game app and my version of Windows should be up to date.

All other games i've downloaded work fine.

Specs:

AMD AthlonX4 860k

Radeon RX 580

8g of RAM

Should at the very least run the minimum required specifications.

I am also having the same issue, Rage 2 wont launch with Xbox Game Pass Beta on PC.

So, I've re-downloaded it, and that doesn't seem to help either. Steps I've tried:

Uninstall and re-download
Attempt to open .exe file directly. - Received access denied error regardless of the fact that I'm the only user on my PC and the admin.

Attempting to run on my laptop with:

i7=9750H
16 GB ram
Nvidia 1660 Ti

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to hopefully get your game to launch. I can totally understand any frustration experienced while dealing with this. If this is the only game that you're experiencing difficulty with, I suggest trying
the steps outlined in our support page entitled
Game freezes or stops responding on a Windows 10 device.

When you get the chance, give that a shot and let us know if that helped.
