    Xbox game pass purchasing question


    been thinking for a while about subscribing to xbox game pass,I have stopped subscribing to xbox live gold for over a year now and thinking about coming back getting xbox game pass ultimate as it includes xbox live gold too.But I don't like to enter my
    credit details onto my console or my paypal details either.I usually by credit online with cards usually £50 cards and redeem them so the credit I purchase the is on my xbox live account ready for me purchasing games etc.Can I purchase using the credit I have
    on my account to buy game pass subscribtion every month,just would like to take advantage of the £1 for 1st month joining offer but it asks for adding a credit/debit card or paypal details..currently don't have any credit on my xbox atm but don't want to purchase
    a £40/£50 card online to redeem if I'm unable to get the xbox game pass this way,can you only purchase this offer by entering my personal card/paypal details..

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you have question on a purchase. Which game pass did you purchase? If you purchased Ultimate game pass then it has Live included. If just normal Xbox game pass you would need to cancel/refund then purchase the
    correct subscription.

    Thanks for your post! Do you mind clarifying your question? If you are attempting to purchase Game Pass, subscriptions can only be purchased using a debit/credit card or with a Game Pass subscription card; Microsoft account balances can not be used to purchase

    Hello Omqyop,

    Is it possible that you purchased PC Game Pass and not Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which includes Xbox Game Pass for Console and PC Game Pass? Can you verify? You also do not need an Xbox Game Pass subscription to access Minecraft on an iPad.

    ok bit the bullet got mysrlf 36 months xbox live gold and did your trick subbed to game pass ultimate for £1 1st month offer and account now says Expires on 28/04.2023

    So thanks for help off topic now but having 3 years game pass ultimate has now swerved me more towards the xbox series x rather than PS5 later this year..

    so from my understanding If I got purchased 3 years of xbox live gold,say even if I purchased these via 3rd party online seller which sells xbox gold cards and then redeemed these cards via my xbox one giving me years of gold then went and subbed to xbox
    game pass ultimate for the 31 offer it'll give me 3 years of game pass ultimate subscribtion?.If I remove my card details afterwards I sub to game pass it wont lose the game pass after a month and go back down to regular xbox live gold membership for the rest
    of the 3 years?..
