Xbox Game Pass- Playing Games under different Gamer Tags

Hello!

I bought my boyfriend the new xbox and also created an xbox account so I could purchase the GamePass so he can start playing right away. I don't know much about this; since I had to create a GamerTag and bought the GamePass under my account, if he goes to
play on the new xbox under the GamePass I bought him, is he still able to then change to his GamerTag to play the games? Or does he have to play with my account always?

You would need to set the console as your Home console in order to share the games with him. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/console/my-home-xbox

All I can think of is either you bought it under different gamer tag or it's a different version of the game

It will allow all 4 of your grand kids the ability to play on their own gamer tag while playing online, yes. They can play the same game online if they're on the same xbox, or if they get their own xbox and transfer over their gamer tag. Its more of just
giving 4 different gamer tags the ability to sign in to xbox live and all be able to play games such as call of duty that don't always allow you to bring a guest along into the multiplayer online part of the game.

Under settings, then account , all options that show something with a name show my old gamer tag, I could not find any account option under the settings, and then system option but when I play a game then it shows my new gamer tag, iv only just finished downloading a game to play, I don't understand why I still have to see my old gamer tag on everything else though
