    Xbox Game Pass PC/ New Windows 10 Volume


    So I wanted to put windows 10 on a new SSD all by itself to keep it as fast as possible. After doing so, I can't figure out how to access them from the new volume of Windows and the Xbox (Beta) app wants me to re-download all of my games. I have pretty
    slow internet and that would take days/ weeks. I'm somewhat of a PC novice and could really use some help. Steam/Battle.net/etc i have all been able to access on the new volume of windows, but no games off of the Microsoft Store. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately it's not possible to read these older files again on a new Windows install even on the same PC. Unlike every other PC download service, the Windows Store (which Game Pass uses too) encrypts its downloads into special folders, the main one
    is called 'WindowsApps'. The WindowsApps folder is hidden so you'll need to show hidden files in File Explorer.

    If you didn't format the old drive it will either be in 'Program Files' (if your old drive used to be C:\) or in the root directory on any other drive.

    The next potential problem is deleting this older folder - and it has to be deleted as their files are locked tight, there is no way to get them to be recognised again.

    The easiest way I found was to delete it using a Linux on a USB Flash drive. Linux doesn't care about locked Windows files.

    Linux boots from the flash drive, you locate your old wayward WindowsApps folder and delete it. Remove the Flash drive and boot back into Windows 10 as before.

    But like I said before, you can't simply add the install folder like Steam, you have to download the games again, there is no way around it.

    Xbox Game Pass for PC will only work on Windows 10 1903 or higher. So your only options are to either purchase a new computer and then buy game pass or not buy game pass at all.

    Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member, you can find your perks on your console within the Xbox Game Pass tab, in the new Xbox (beta) app on Windows
    10 PC, or within the Xbox Game Pass mobile app. And as Zenosos said Pso2 is Na and Canada only
