XBox Game Pass (PC) - Installation/Update Error for Dirt Rally 2.0

Hi,

I could use some insight/help.

Dirt Rally 2.0 as part of the XBox Game Pass on PC cannot be updated anymore, it exist with an error code 0x80073d24. Trying to reinstall the game always fails as well. The installer seems to detect existing files, but it exits at 18% of the download every
time.

Looking at the install location, I can see two folders related to Dirt Rally 2.0: (both with an identical name)

- A 96.8 GB Dirt Rally 2.0 folder (with seemingly all the data in it)

- An empty 0 Byte folder, which is not accesible "The file cannot be accessed by the system".

I tried a file integrity check ("sfc/ scannow"), resetting the XBox Beta app, the game itself and the Windows Store.

I should point out that I could play the game in the past without issues. Also I have no issues with other games (Sea of Thieves, Vampyr, Stellaris, just to name a few).

Any help/ideas would be appreciated!

I haven't been able to play Dirt for months, it's very disappointing. Nothing works to fix it, I've tried everything they've mentioned and you as well, I am pretty upset I'll never be able to play the game again.

Well, I could not fix the issue. Cancelled my subscription now and bought the game on Steam instead.

thank you very much for your reply. Unfortunately I could not solve the issue using the provided steps. I'll quickly give an overview over the different suggestions from the linked article.

1) I did restart my PC

2) Error message stays the same (0x80073d24). Trying to download again still yields the same result as described above

3) XBox Game Pass (PC) subscription is active (I can play other games)

4) I have admin rights on my PC

5) Game data is found, but update still fails

6) I have enough storage space left (more than 400GB on the drive I am trying to install Dirt Rally to)

7) I did try to reinstall the Gaming Services app using the provided powershell commands. Initially the install fails "Try again later. Something happened at our end" (Tried it twice now with ~9h of downtime in between). I could eventually reinstall by restarting
my PC. The issue with Dirt Rally 2.0 is not fixed, unfortunately.

have you checked for windows 10 updates this might cause the issue
