    Xbox Game Pass (PC) Error Code 0x8024001e on Windows 11


    Hello, I recently upgraded to Windows 11 and began downloading games with my XGP subscription, but I continuously encounter error 0x8024001e when I download Sea of Thieves. The moment I open up the Xbox app on my pc, I am met with an error code on my download. And when I try to download again, the game will download and install, but the game itself will have an error saying it is missing files. I've also encountered this bug with other games like Gears of War 4, and haven't found a solution.

    I have searched various forums on this topic, but they all are for windows 10, and 8. It has become quite apparent that most of these will not work on Windows 11 due to the completely different UI and organization of settings that Windows 11 has compared to its predecessors.

    Have you tried reinstalling the Gaming Services app on your device? Follow the guide below if you are unsure how to:

    Reinstall the Gaming Services app on your Windows 10/11 device:

    1. Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.
    2. In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

      get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
    3. In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

      start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
    4. Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
    5. Restart your device and try to install the game again.
