Because the original thread has been closed, I'm trying to get new attention to this topic.

I have the exact same issue and it's extremely frustrating to the point where I'm thinking about cancelling the subscription.

It won't happen on all games of course, but there are many games that won't even launch because of this issue.

Please get this fixed. It's known for a long time now.

I have tried many things and tips to get this sorted out. But I'm just done. I don't have the time and desire to try fixing this anymore with any possible workarounds or something similar.

Games where this issue happened to me including: Back4Blood (the first time this kind of issue occurred to me, exactly as it happened to Tywnnvlad, very frustrating when your friends are enjoying the game in a group, and you want to join them because the game thankfully is included in PC Game Pass...yeah, I've been glad to early), Jurassic World Evolution 2 (reached out to the support of frontier, but didn't get any response. Waiting now for nearly 3 weeks, also extremely frustrating), and now it also happens with Total War: THREE KINGDOMS. And also a couple of more games, that I don't remember yet. Probably many more games because I'm not trying all the games in PC Game Pass, obviously.

Also had a similar issue with Minecraft... where the launcher wouldn't acknowledge, that I have a PC Game Pass subscription, even though I was logged in through my Account in the Minecraft launcher. But that was probably something else and was also fixed after a couple of months. Nonetheless, it adds up to my frustration level with PC Game Pass. I am very happy with the whole concept of the PC Game Pass, really, but I won't accept such issues forever, as I'm a paying customer.

Please get this fixed.

This is a Denuvo error, and not a Windows Store issue. You need to contact the developer if it persists, as the same thing happens on Stream.

You are failing the initial online activation for Denuvo. You need to not be behind a VPN, or have anything else running that may upset its security checks.

Try restarting first the PC and test

The in-place upgrade can take up to 1 hours, but in some cases can be just 20 minutes

Okay, SFC found something.

But the game still won't launch.

May a restart be necessary?

Are you interested in the CBS.log?

So, an in-place upgrade would be the next step, right?

That will probably be more time-consuming?
