Xbox Game Pass games disappeared overnight from my PC, with save files as well

Hi there,

Turned on my PC today, and as a Christmas miracle all the games from my Windows is gone (the games which I installed through the xbox app), and my 250+ hours saves from Football Manager 2023 are also gone (same goes for The Outer Worlds, which I also had ~40 hours with, so the issue is not strictly fooball manager relevant).

Didn't do anything on the computer, there was no update, nothing. All the files have been removed, even the ones which are not installed by the xbox app itself, like logos, facepacks, everything I added.

Also, cloud saves appear empty, which is very strange, considering that I cannot turn that feature off, and even if I could, I wouldn't have done that, because it's always good to have a backup (would have been good apparently, if it would work).

Which is also ridiculous, because I once reinstalled my computer completely before to solve this, and it still appears.

I don't do anything on my PC, I don't browse on it, I don't work on it, I don't mess around with it, I keep it strictly for playing football manager, and some other games here and there.

This is the last chance I'm giving to XBOX. If I can't recover my save files, I'm going back to play somewhere else. Absolute joke.

Current version and edition of Windows Installed? (Search for WINVER in Windows search to see this)
Are you only having issues with games installed via game pass?
Or other games are also affected
Are you running any antivirus or antimalware software?
What changes have you made before the issue appeared?

If a game was installed with Xbox Game Pass but will no longer play, make sure that your Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold subscriptions are active, and that the game is still in the current catalog.

If you’re having trouble remotely downloading a game, go to the “Why isn’t my game downloading when I install from the Game Pass mobile app?” section, above.

Also check if you are sing in with the correct Windows user profile.

It depends on the game.. I notice a lot of Game Pass PC games have some port issues, stability problems, my friends have told me their save files just disappeared all of a sudden. I think Xbox has a bigger selection and better stability.

After a Mutant Year Zero update all my saves have disappeared (I was in the final mission). I have the xbox game pass for pc and although it's very annoying to start a new game again I'm going to do it, but before I want to back up my save files. And here
it's another problem: where are located the save files? I'm searching for all the web and nobody knows. I want to trust microsoft but again and again they seems to don't know what pc gamers want.

Hi,

Yakuza 0 is not cross compatible with save files across Xbox and PC. This is why you have to start the game from the beginning on Game Pass PC.
