Xbox game pass games after a while of playing it shuts down without error message.

Check for updates on Windows Update, update everything including optional/additional updates. Also, run clean boot, maybe some third-party program is affecting the games. In this link, you have the instructions to perform a clean boot and also follow the steps below.

1. Logout from Xbox app and Microsoft Store app

2. Look for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store in the Windows bar, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset. Do this with the game too.

3. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.

4. Open the Microsoft Store, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner ''download and updates'' and click on ''get updates'' and update everything.

5. Login with your account again in both apps and try again.

I'm with the same problem, every time I try to change the language to English (5.1 or stereo), Netflix shows an error message (without error code) and shut down. After 3 tryes, the movie became impossible to play, even in portuguese (it loads until 99%,
then do not load anymore).

The same happens in Fifa. When I tried to start, the game was shut down after the begining screen.

Do anyone found a solution?

It would only shut down when you turn it off, or if you leave it idle for some time (there's a setting for that).

It should never shut down abruptly while you're playing a game.

Several questions for you:

- Do you get any sort of error message when you turn it back on?

- Are you able to turn it back on immediately after it shuts off?

- Are the system fans really loud and the console is hot to the touch after it turns off,

perhaps from overheating?

Sometimes before it shuts off it freezes as well. it does make a loud noise like a disc is stuck. sometimes it just kicks from games

Does it happen while you;re gaming?

The Xbox will shut down to prevent data corruption when a game has a catastrophic error.
