Xbox game pass game not opening on pc

I went to launch Forza Horizon 5 and it gave me an error message after I attempted to launch it.

The error message read

C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.624F8B84B80_3.583.19.0_x64__8weky...\GameLaunchHelper.exe

File system error (-2015294512).

I wouldve posted a screenshot but it wouldnt load.

I assume the problem has something to do with the location it is downloaded. I have the game downloaded into my D: drive in the XboxGames folder and from what I have read its supposed to be in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps but I dont have enough space on my C drive.

This isnt my first time playing the game. When I first got it, which was over a year ago, it worked perfectly fine.

For you use the Game Pass on PC with Windows 10, try this steeps:

1 Open the Xbox(beta) App [the Game Pass run for this App and then;

2 Try run the Game

Let's try some steps that might help. Kindly check if you have any pending updates using this link https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo... or select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update , and then select Check for updates.

If there's nothing pending, select the Start button > Settings > Accounts , then find the Microsoft account you used to sign in to the Xbox app and select Remove. Then go back to the Xbox app and sign in with the Microsoft account you just removed.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community for advice on how to hopefully get those two games to launch. I totally understand how having this happen could be frustrating. I suggest following the steps outlined in our support article entitled Troubleshoot
gameplay issues on Windows 10 if you have yet to do so.

When you get a chance, give those steps a shot and let us know how that helped.

There is another thread with the same kind of problem here and it sounds like some people fixed it by
disabling the game bar and nvidia overlay. Unfortunately because the PC Game Pass app is still in it's Beta stage there are going to be more issues than usual. If you continue to have issues then I suggest you contact support.
