Xbox Game Pass game install button shows sad face. HELP!!

Cant install Assassins Creed Valhalla which is available as part of XBox Game Pass. Install button just shows a sad face. I have tried resetting the Xbox app and Store app. I have tried myriad of other solutions available online. Other games work fine. Installed games work fine. Other new arrivals also install without hitch. facing trouble with just this particular game. Have installed and logged on Ubisoft Connect PC too. My Windows is updated.

I am having the same issue. And when the Ubisoft Connect app opens up, Valhalla doesn't show up under the available games, so idk if the issue is on their end or what the issue is but it'd be nice to get some resolution.

As of now the install is popping up in Ubisoft Connect, however, they dont have the English language installation available yet. I'm guessing it technically hasn't been "released" in our region yet.

There is a new update for the Xbox App today, make sure you update it, a prompt should appear once you open the application.

To install the Assassin's Creed Valhalla game you need to install the Ubisfot Connec PC first, once you click install on the game, it should also prompt a window for you to do so.

Then, make sure to link your Microsoft account to your Ubisoft account.

Proceed with the Installation.

The sad face on the install/play button in Sea of Thieves 2023 Edition indicates that there is an issue preventing the game from launching. Since you changed your gamertag, it's possible that the game is having trouble recognizing your account.

Make sure you are signed in to the correct Xbox account associated with your Game Pass subscription.

Check for any available updates for the game and your Xbox app, and install them if needed.

Try resetting the Xbox app by going to Settings > Apps > Xbox > Advanced options > Reset.

Uninstall and reinstall the game. To do this, go to Start menu > Settings > Apps > Sea of Thieves 2023 Edition > Uninstall.

Just the sad face, no other error code or anything.

I just installed the XBOX app today so it should be updated.

Checked Windows Update, all good.

I'll try the other alternatives you mentioned tomorrow.
