Xbox Game Pass, Game App Removal

Hi,

So I recently reinstalled Windows 10 after a significant hardware change, and then reinstalled the "Xbox (Beta)" app for the Xbox Game Pass, both on my (C Drive. All of the Game Pass games I had installed before reinstalling Windows 10 were on my (D
Drive, but now the "Xbox (Beta)" app is unable to detect those (D Drive games. Not only that, but it's telling me my (D Drive isn't set up for installing games.

When I click the link it provides to "Set is as your location for where new apps are saved", it takes me to the screen below, where I manually select the (D Drive as the new place apps will save to. But when I hit "Apply", it tells me this drive has apps
from another device and they must be deleted first, which is partially true because I reinstalled windows after upgrading my PC.

I click "Yes" to continue, assuming it's going to delete those apps, but it just errors.

If I click "No", it gives me a different error.

So I'm guessing that I need to manually remove these "apps" instead, which I can only assume Windows 10 is referring to the Xbox Game Pass games that are on the (D Drive (Nothing else Windows or UWP related is on the (D Drive). But where are they? How
do I manually remove them? Because the app says they don't exist but they're clearly there somewhere, I didn't uninstall them, and they're taking up tens of GB of storage on the (D Drive.

So what the heck am I supposed to do? Aside from formatting my entire (D drive which I really don't want to do...

Hi Brad,

Yeah, I'm sure you're right about the Windows 10 reinstall confusing the Xbox app to no end. I was hoping there was some kind of work around to get the Xbox App to find the files that I know are there.

I suppose I should've foreseen this issue given how integrated Windows 10 and the App are, and should have uninstalled the games through the app before reinstalling Windows 10. And you are correct in that most of the (D

Drive is just games which can be redownloaded,
although this will take dozens of hours which is what I was hoping to avoid doing.

Everything else on the (D

Drive I suppose I can transfer to the (C

drive for now and move back later.

Hi Vinny,

I'm not sure which app you're suggest I move since it's obscured by the pop up in your image. I assume you meant moving the Xbox app. If that's what you meant then unfortunately that doesn't work either. It gives me the same error, saying "This Drive has apps
from another device" and says the apps must be removed first.

Thanks for the suggestion though, for some reason I didn't think to do that.

Thanks for coming to the forums. When you reinstalled windows, that most likely messed all of it up. The best solution would be to reformat the D drive. As there is no other way to access these games. If that is all that is on there then it would be the
best option to just reformat. As finding them have heard is very much a pain to try and uninstall manually.

Install Xbox Game Pass app on your phone to keep track of games that leaving.

The games that are being removed are communicated at various places such as on Xbox Game Pass website, Xbox game pass on console and as well as on phone, and also on twitter. I even get alerts on my phone.
