Xbox Game pass game altering my monitor.

When trying to open Doom Eternal it opens on my second monitor and for some reason stretched the resolution of that monitor and wont let me change it back no matter what. I have tried Shift+windows+arrow key once the game is opened but that doesn't work for it for some reason. Its gotten to the point where it has now completely altered the resolution of that entire monitor and I am unable to fix after googling extensively for help. I have gone all throughout my display settings and messed around with it but nothing works, I have tried going into the game and changing the resolution there but that also doesn't work. I'm not sure what to do, I also don't want to have to uninstall that game as I have spent a long time just waiting for it finish downloading already.

So, if tou try to alter the resolution on you monitor and in game also, and it did not work Ibelieve if you restore your OS it moght do the trick, but there's a catch, you will have to install it again afterwards

go to programs and features, find the game, click advanced and click reset app.

when first starting the game, disable the second screen by hitting windows key and P then select PC Screen Only, start the game and then configure graphics options.

close the game and enable the second screen, see if that works.

By any chance could you change the monitor to see if the problem occurs on the pc itself or the monitor not working as it should when the games alters the resolution.

Aside from a handful of games like fall out or farming simulator at have in-game mods, , Xbox game pass games do not support mods. They are encrypted and incompatible with third party alterations

the best thing you can do its leave that session and find another one, unfortunately MS cant monitor every game in live but you can help denouncing the mods/ and hacks because they alters the game
