Xbox Game Pass, “For this, The owner needs to sign in.”

Hello all!

I have an annoying problem that has recently started to happen. I am subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. I have several games downloaded, and I play them on a regular basis- I have not ran into any issues like this before. Whenever I go to start a game
that was downloaded with a game pass, it gives me an error. Whenever opening an application, a prompt displays saying:

For this, the owner needs to sign in

if this is a trial game or app that expired, buy it from the Microsoft store.

it returns an error code of (0x82d40007).

I have noticed that I have received a new OS update, because some icons look different in the menu bar, and they are arranged differently. I am currently on OS version (10.0.19041.2494). I feel like this update is part of the problem, because this problem
did not occur until this new update.

I have Searched for this problem online, and have followed all the forms religiously. Here’s what I have done so far to remedy this issue.

• I have ensured that my Xbox is set as the Home Xbox. I have even removed my primary Xbox as my home Xbox, then re-added it as my home Xbox.
• I have ensured on both my Xbox and my Microsoft account online that my subscription is active. I have made sure that transactions were completed and the service was paid for, using my account overview online.
• I have tried launching the games on both my account, another account in my Microsoft family, and have even tried launching the games without even being signed in.
• I have removed my account and added it back to the Xbox to see if that would fix the issue.

• I have tried launching the applications on separate networks. I have tried with my own ISP and phone’s mobile hotspot off of AT&T’s cellular service.
• some of my games are stored on an external hard drive. I have ensured that this hard drive is still working and I can see games are stored on it- like there should be.
  
• I have manually shut down and turned back on my Xbox several times, restarted my xbox several times, and left the Xbox unplugged for ~5 minutes before plugging it back in and powering it back on.

Despite all my efforts, I am still receiving this error message. My theory could be thawed, but like I said, I think this latest update could have a role to play in it. I never did start seeing this issue until recently, when I got this update.

Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated, because I can’t get a hold of Microsoft during this COVID-19 pandemic very easily, and their support would only run me through these same steps for about the 7th time now.
