Xbox Game Pass for PC: Slay the Spire Virus

So I joined the Xbox Game pass for PC a couple of weeks ago. Everything was okay.

I played Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and finished it without complications.

Today I downloaded Slay the Spire and for my surprise, when I wanted to launch the game, Avast Antivirus warned me about "IDP.ALEXA.51" infecting "PSFLAUNCHER32.EXE", that's the Slay the Spire Game launcher.

Note that I don't download any kind of games that aren't from Steam or the Windows Store. I have no history of virus infection in my PC and is the first time I see this "ALEXA" thing.

So I can't play my game and I've a potential virus infection for using the Windows Store. Seems a little dangerous for me.

Hope Microsoft can fix it right away.

Stuart is correct. It sounds like a false positive. My antivirus is Norton and it'll flag certain games, especially if they are new releases, as a potential virus. You can either disable it or have the antivirus just accept the game files.

Avast tend to flag things as a false positive from time to time. I use Avast as an Antivirus software and I have only struck one false positive in the years I used Avast.

Avast is fhe worst for this stuff. Id rafher use defender

I noticed Avast flags a lot of game launchers as false positives when I used to use it.

That my friend is with we call in Internet and I.T Security by "False Positive" that is means with some files can be detected by your antivirus program, but coming by font secure you can just go in your antivirus and add 1 report about the False Positive
and put this file in WhiteList
