Xbox Game Pass for PC - Experience so far.

So I know this is in Beta but users still have to pay so I was expecting a few less problems...
The experience so far has been unimpressive.

I use Steam primarily, my PC is a sufficiently powered custom build and can play most AAA titles @ 1440p in ultrawide.

Getting the 1903 update was a headache to start with - but finally with some improvisation I got it.

Subscribing to the Game Pass is convoluted - MS need to test this themselves - I was sent round in circles and if I'd not been determined I'd given up - which I probably should have.

Finally Updated, installed and subbed. Download Forza.... I have 100Gb fibre, Steam games download at 10-15mb/s but Forza - a 72GB game took all day -literally- as it dl'd at 1-1.5mb/s.

Okay... finally I'm playing Forza Horizon 4 - It's good. I play a few sessions over the next 2 days. What I do notice though is there is no server connection though... I decide to trouble shoot that later and enjoy the game locally.

Then tonight Forza refuses to launch at all. I have go around an around trying to solve this ...but honestly at this point I am more than ready to pack Game Pass PC in. I'm trying to reinstall Forza (I'd tried a bunch of stuff from forums and troubleshooting
first to fix it), but of course that means waiting for it to download again. Any how - spleen vented for now.

Urgh. It's happened again.

Waste of time. Game pass subscription cancelled - what a steaming pile of **** that was.

It is always like that with great service all around the world. It is beta after all and Microsoft knows that service needs improvements. But, that is a first time on pc that somebody provides that kind of service without bad streaming. It is for everyone,
great internet speed or not. Off course, there are problems, but I know they will fix it.

We all need patience. Having problems just like you and I understand.

I havent even signed up to it yet, I plan on getting Ultimate at some point. I'm still running windows 7 on my PC, so there really isn't any point to me getting game pass for PC, or atleast not until I get Windows 10.

I am sorry your having issues with your xbox beta app have you tried to uninstall the app and reinstall the app again, as I know I had issues when I was signed into my actual microsoft account and not the xbox account I have separately in the microsoft store
app, if you sign in your xbox account in the store app and then xbox beta app you shouldn't have any issues with the pass not being found, that said forza is a huge game to download it could of been due to xbox servers at the time you was downloading when
I downloaded my copy it was as fast as steam.

So Far not too bad, managed to play Gears 4 and FH4 without problems, even the downloads for those games weren't long.

Metro Exodus has Issues though. Took ages to download and it doesn't support Directx11, even though the DX11 option is there it doesn't switch to it, suggesting the whole DX11 binaries are missing.
