Xbox Game Pass error 0x8007001f when installing games

on external macbook hard drive/dual boot) Did you figure any solution to this? i can install other games fine but when i try to install halo mcc it errors out at 4.8%

Unfortunately the issue is still unresolved. I have the same problem with Halo or any "Administrator approval required for installation" game. It would seem that Apple Mac + Windows 10 + Xbox Game Pass PC = Error 0x8007001f

I'm running into the same issue but it only happens with games that require "administrator approval for installation". I've searched the internet for a fix but to no avail. Every troubleshoot Microsoft recommended was useless (and other 3rd party fixes weren't
successful). For some reason Microsoft decides to ignore problems in hopes they will go away (terrible way to do business and treat your users). They just close every thread that mentions these types of problem and I'm honestly, very disappointed. At this
point its safe to say that Microsoft has some of the worst customer service, ever. If someone from Microsoft answers this thread they will probably give a link to a troubleshoot from 2 years ago and close the thread when we reply that it doesn't work. I've
still got hope that they will address this issue (because if they don't, we have been scammed) but something tells me that they just don't care... sad.

Note: This issue has nothing to do with MacOS and External drives, I have my Windows (and other windows related files and programs) on a SSD connected via SATA and 2 HDDs for my games which are also connected via SATA. So thats def not an issue.

Having the same issue... Everytime Microsoft looks as these errors they just close the thread. CAN WE JUST GET AN ANSWER PLEASE MICROSOFT?!?!?!

And updating does not seems to fix the problem.

I really don't think the windows link given above are the right solution, as this is a generic windows error code (why would audio driver block Xbox games from installing... ?)

And apparently, if Windows 10 system resides on an external hard disk it somehow messes up the installation process for "Administrator approval required for installation" games (Error 0x8007001f
with Xbox Game Pass PC).

At the moment, in my case, it seems there is no solution to this problem :-(

I can't change my install (I moved Windows 10 on an external USB drive as I wanted more space for OSX on my laptop).

I have to wait for an update of XBox app if any.
