    Xbox game pass digital code purchased online doesn't work for Puerto Rico


    Yesterday I purchased a digital code for a 6 month Xbox game pass membership through Amazon. When I tried to enter the code, the system said " Contact the seller to get a code that works in your region. This code was purchased in
    a different region and cannot be redeemed". Puerto Rico is not a region, and it is not a country, it is a territory of the United States. Therefore, a code for United States should work for Puerto Rico too. After talking to a representative, he told me that
    I should create feedback, so Microsoft updates their United States server and includes Puerto Rico. If Amazon, or any other sites create an offer for Xbox live, Game pass with a Digital code, we Puerto Ricans are not able to benefit from it because the servers
    did not include Puerto Rico.

    US Codes (Game Pass) won’t work in Puerto Rico (they worked before)

    Hello. Thanks for taking the time to try and help.
    I’ve purchased Game Pass Ultimate codes from (A m a z o n) in June 2021 and worked without problems. I purchased a code from (G a m e S t o p) Online last November, used it this week and got the “different country error” and could not redeem. I gifted this code to my nephew who lives in the US. Yesterday I decided to buy again from (A m a z o n) (never had problems before); upon entering encountered the “different country error” (code from US to use in Puerto Rico) and also would not redeem. I then again gifted the code to my nephew. Is Puerto Rico not entitled to purchase codes from these online retailers? Why did they work before and not now? What now?

    help with my location

    Puerto Rico is a US Territory so you should put the US as your location in this instance. This means Xbox Live is supported in Puerto Rico.

    The drop-downs that typically list States should also cover Puerto Rico and other similar territories.

    There should not be any issues with this, but let us know if you encounter any problems.
