    XBOX GAME PASS APP ON PC DOES NOT LAUNCH EA DESKTOP TO INSTALL EA PLAY GAMES


    As per the title.

    Resubscribed to Xbox game pass and includes the EA play option.

    Game pass produces an error when I try to install an EA game saying it cannot launch or download EA desktop.

    I manually downloaded and installed EA desktop. Accounts are linked.

    Xbox game pass, when selecting an EA game, produces the same error. It tells me to install EA desktop despite it being already installed, then when I click to install it, it just gives the web address to where I can install EA desktop.

    Honestly Microsoft. Game pass is a great idea which just doesnt work properly.

    EA account wont link to Xbox account

    If you had a previous account linking and it doesnt say "EA play with game pass" under settings-> my account -> my membership in EA Desktop app then I suggest

    - Clicking Manage from the settings in EA Desktop app to go to the EA customer portal website and under Connections disconnect the xbox account

    - Then log out of EA Desktop and exit both apps

    - Then install a EA game from xbox app

    It will log you into EA Desktop and link accounts giving "EA play with game pass" membership and start downloading from EA Desktop app

    Note it says you can only ever link one xbox account to your EA account

    Is anyone having an issue with Xbox for PC where some games will download and install but others will not?

    Thanks for trying, DaleGoins! You will need to install EA games on the EA desktop app. According to Xbox:

    EA games in the EA Play library are accessible for download within the Xbox Game Pass experience using the Xbox app for Windows via the EA app, now in beta.     If you’re an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Game Pass for PC member, you’ll need to link your EA and Xbox accounts, and then make sure you have EA Desktop (Beta) installed on your PC. If you don’t, the Xbox app on Windows 10 will walk you through the setup process.

    Hi,

    I reseted my PC, reinstalled everything, now Xbox app games I can install and play, but now EA desktop app I can not install. Have the EA Desktop app installer downloaded nothing happens even in system admin mode running or makin a Program Files folder with Electronics Arts in the C drive.
    Now all my EA desktop games are unplayable.
