Xbox Game Pass app does not support different store and gamertag accounts

Thank you for all the replies, but I figured it out. What happened was when I registered the game pass promo code I did it under a different Microsoft account than the one my laptop was registered to. So under account options on the game pass app it showed
one email logged into the xbox app and a different email (the wrong email) logged into the Microsoft store. So I had to switch my Microsoft store account to match my xbox game pass app email. I've never been on any app or program that it was possible to login
to 2 different accounts so it wasnt something I would have known to look for. Thanks again!

Game Pass is a subscription, not a store. If you mean the Xbox app, both the Microsoft Store app and Xbox app are essentially the same store. They just have different names.

Try this mate

1. Download the xbox beta app on windows.

2. Log in on the windows store on your pc with the account that purchased the game pass ultimate subscription.

3. Open the xbox beta app, you should be able to log in with any xbox account, I think.

4. When you have logged in with your xbox account click on your gamertag image in the app and then click again on your gamertag name, you shoule now see a menu with the game pass ownership and the gamertag of who bought it and the xbox live account that
can play the games above that, there you can also see when your subscription ends.

Which seems to be related to the fact i have 2 accounts on my xbox app. My microsoft account which in my xbox gamertag and then my store account which doesnt have an xbox account linked to it but now has the game pass ultimate subscription attached to it.

Yes, and in fact the Xbox app does inform me that it is associated with another store account. At some point I had set up a store account that I don't use anymore

It gives me the option to associate my xbox app with the current store account my xbox uses, but when I select this, the window disappears as if it had changed it, but it doesn't actually work. When I check game pass it again states I don't have a game pass subscription and prompts me to order one.

Though if I go into the app menu and check my subscriptions, it states I do have the ultimate account, and shows my last payments, etc... so in the account information, it's there, but when I attempt to look at game pass, it states I don't have it, as if it's still associated with the store account that does not have the subscription.

I tried uninstalling the entirety of xbox applications on the pc and resinstalled the xbox app, but no luck.
