I try it from Microsoft Store and its works. Game was added to xbox app, but when i want some game from xbox app, app still saying that i need purchase game pass. I dont understand. But at all, i can downloading games from pass, but only from Microsoft Store.

I found a small workaround for this problem that worked for me and may work for you.

One: make your Microsoft store account the same as your Xbox account

Two: have the Microsoft store & Xbox app open

Three: find the game on the Microsoft store that you want and click install

notice: it will show installing in the store and on the Xbox app

note: have to have a game pass
