    Xbox Game Pass activation Issue.


    Hi.

    Today I have a call (it was recorded) with local XBOX support regarding question: How many Xbox Game Pass electronic keys could be activated to create long subscription (e.g. I have subscription for Office 365 for next 4 years). The answer was: You can
    buy and input several electronic keys to create summary subscription time up to 36 months.
    So I have bought 2 codes 12 months each. The first one was accepted well. But the second generate error: The free trial is for new customers only. And it wasn't add subscription time. I could not get my money back because of shop rule that says electronic
    keys could not be returned.

    Are any solution for the situation?

    Desirable solution is prolongation of subscription.
    It is looks like I was misleaded by XBOX local support in this situation. I bought several keys according to information provided to me, and now I couldn't use them.

    Went to watch the preseason games and when I click the game, it says to sign in for Game pass. Then it sends me to a screen to activate the Xbox. The site it asks me to go to does not exist. I have a paid subscription to NFL game pass and it works on my phone and computer. Did they do an update to the Xbox app? Anyone else having issues? Thanks.

    Xbox Game Pass activation Issue.

    You should indeed be able to stack up to 36 months' worth of subscriptions, including Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass. On what devices have you tried redeeming the code - your Xbox One console, your PC, etc.?

    Hi, sorry to hear you're having that issue- non-trial codes should indeed be able to be stacked for up to 36 months, and additionally, a 12-month code should not give any messages regarding trial status when you try to redeem it. It is true that you can't
    stack trial codes, nor can you redeem additional trial codes if you've already redeemed one in the past.

    You might double-check your
    Xbox order history
    to see if the redeemed code(s) show up as expected. You can also check your

    services & subscriptions
    page to check the current status of your subscription. Hope that helps!

    I have redeemed my code via PC. I'am a new user for XBOX (bought my XBOX ONE X less than month ago). So PC and browser is more convenient to me. I have bought my keys in big retail online shop (very big network of shops, and I trust it). I guess device (PC,
    XBOX or phone) for code input shouldn't affect the process. MS should have single DB for it.

    I have checked Xbox order history and my previous XBOX GAME PASS (that was bought on sale) marked as completed. But the last code (1 from 2 recently bought) is in Redeemed mode with proper dates without any sign that it is trial.

    For troubleshooting purposes I recommend trying all of the available ways of redeeming codes.


    After you have tried all of the different ways of redeeming that code and the error is the same, then you would need to contact
    Xbox Support so that they can check on the status of that code to make sure it is a 12 month game pass subscription and not a trial code that you were sold.

    1. Contact us here
    2. Select My account
    3. Say No thanks to the virtual agent
    4. Select Error Messages and codes.
    5. Select show contact options and go to step 4
    6. Select request a callback from support

    Howdy.

    One other possibility to consider: Be sure to check the product description at the vendor where you purchased the codes. Some of the 12-month Game Pass subscription codes work on a "12-month token" basis, and only one token can be active on a Microsoft
    account at a time. In the case of the 12-month subscription tokens, they do not stack.

    To my understanding, if your codes are, in fact, 12-month subscription tokens, you would wait until the first 12-month token expires and then you would enter another code to extend your membership another 12 months.

    I don't know whether your situation involves the 12-month token subscriptions codes, but I quote the following product description from a currently popular offer for 12-month Game Pass codes for illustrative purposes:

    "This is a twelve-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass. 1 per Microsoft Account Entry per year. If a customer has more than one Xbox Game Pass 12 Month token in their possession, they can hold the additional tokens and enter them in every 12 Months
    from initial date of entry."

    I should clarify by saying that my understanding is that only one 12-month subscription token may be active on an account per year. It may well be that the 12-month token subscription can be stacked with non-token-based subscriptions, but that's unclear
    to me.

    So finally the problem has been solved. It was a key issue. Local Microsoft support helped me with key regeneration. Thanks to all of you also for your answers. Xbox Game Pass activation Issue. :)
