Xbox game not in my owned games even though i owned it

Ok, so let me get this straight, if someone buys an Xbox, and a game. But before you can play it you need to buy both gamepass and Xbox live, two subscriptions, just to be able to play it??? That is pretty crazy

Sea of Thieves is an online only game so it requires Game Pass Core (or Ultimate which includes Core) in order to play it.

The disc looks fine, it is still recognised by my console. The issue seems to be that my console doesn’t think I own the game even though i own the disc
