Xbox game launcher is terrible

Xbox game launcher has been the worst game launcher I have ever used.

It constantly prompts you to ask if it can use your gamer tag each new game launch (no
[Mod removed- inappropriate]?); this also interrupts any cinematic you may be watching on the first launch.

It has very few features, such as searching sorting games or sorting downloads.

The friends list is confusing at best

Windows+G is not easy to press during a game

It closes when you launch a game but fails to reopen

Downloading multiple games at at once causes the launcher to struggle to pause them

There is no 'pause all downloads' button

Support (as with everything Microsoft) is appalling, instead of just helping solve your problem, they send you though a maze designed to flog you off to the forums or force you to purchase paid support. If they do respond, (as with every Microsoft support
attempt) they generally fail to actually even read your issue.

The selection of games is good. But to some extent they seam to be mostly games that have revived poor reviews elsewhere (metro exodus, the stillness of the wind, imperator: rome, we happy few), Don't get me wrong though, this is a good way to play games
you wouldn't want to pay full price for.

As with every bit of Microsoft software nowadays the entire thing just seams like it was written by bureaucrats (see the gamer tag issue), on the face it may seam user friendly, but delve any deeper and it can be a maze of unnecessary prompts and generally
unintuitive and difficult to navigate.

I understand its a beta, which is the main reason I am posting this; to provide feedback.

No other launcher has to ask you every time, not origin, not GOG, not Epic, not Steam, not Uplay, not discord (from memory).

Irregardless of whether Microsoft use some obscure system that means they are treated differently, its still as it still has the same effect on the consumer.

The point about windows+G was made because it is a bad default. A developer could map movement to "ypns" as opposed to "wasd", just because you can remap it does not mean its not bad design. Most other overlays use ergonomic layouts on the left side of the
keybord, such as shift+tab or shift+f2. I don't see steam using shift+s or uplay using shift+u; I don't open task manager by pressing windows+t+m.

This is the wrong place to give feedback. The best way is by the app itself. press Win+G then select settings and then feedback. That will then launch the feedback app so you can give your feedback about the app.

It has to ask you for permission every time due to privacy laws and concerns.

If you're unhappy with the keyboard shortcuts, you can change the way you open the game bar like this and you can use whatever you like instead of Windows G:

To create customized keyboard shortcuts, press Windows logo key + G to open Game Bar, select Settings > Shortcuts,
enter your shortcuts, then press Save.

That launcher is terrible. The demo is boring.

This is terrible party for a video game. Master work on Xbox one this is terrible. I thought it would work perfect I don’t work on Xbox one 360 game is not working. This is terrible quality.
