    Xbox game installation immediately stops


    A while ago my brother uninstalled a game from my xbox, but now, if I try to install it again it wont make any progress on the download and after a few seconds it will say installation stopped. It's not too scratched, I've cleaned it, I've done a hard reset of the console, the xbox isnt trying to install an update and the game at the same time, and its up to date. I have no clue what to do and cant find anything exactly like this online. pls help

    Is this happening only with this game?

    Are you able to test the disc with a different console?

    This helps us to isolate a bit more the issue

    But, to be honest I'm starting to suspect about the disc, could be damaged

    Do your games install at all? No games or game updates install at all. Always start and immediately switch to installation stopped at 0.0%

    Apps and console updates both install perfectly.

    Same issue! Attempting to update game... Installation stops for unknown reason. Stuck at 20% Game needs to finish installing or show ready to start before it can be launched. Try to update again. Item attempts to install and stops again at 20%. @xboxlive
    help immediately needed!
